The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine provides continuing medical education, outreach education and research support to physicians and allied medical professionals as well as patient and consumer health service projects in West Virginia and the region. CAMC is a regional campus for the WVU School of Medicine and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The Institute also operates a School of Nurse Anesthesia affiliated with Marshall University, as well as 23 graduate medical education residency/fellowship programs and an internship program sponsored by CAMC. The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine has 23 accredited programs. There are 19 ACGME accredited programs, two ASHP accredited pharmacy programs, one pharmacy program in Candidate Status and an APA accredited program.
