The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine celebrated its over 240 residents and fellows on Friday, Feb. 28, in recognition of Thank a Resident and Fellow Day.

The Graduate Medical Education department hosted booths to treat residents and fellows with coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and other snacks at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Charleston Campus, CAMC Heart and Vascular Center, CAMC General Hospital and CAMC Women and Children's Hospital. Several departments also organized engaging activities for their program participants, including axe throwing and escape rooms.

The Gold Humanism Honor Society, part of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, initiated Thank a Resident and Fellow Day in 2018 to collectively recognize and appreciate residents and fellows and the vital support they provide health care teams.
