I went to WVSOM. I love being outside with my dogs, baking, gardening, canning and mountain biking! I am interested in incorporating outpatient wound care and OMM into my future FM practice! Rural medicine has always been my dream, and I am so excited to continue my education at home surrounded by family!
Ayesha Khan, MD
I am a physician certified by ECFMG and a resident of Ohio. I am passionate about improving healthcare access in underserved and rural areas, believing that everyone should have access to good healthcare whenever and wherever they need it. To reflect this passion, I co-founded OneClinic, which develops telemedicine technology to enhance healthcare access in healthcare shortage areas and rural Ohio. Our technology received a US patent, and our efforts were recognized in a proclamation from Governor Mike DeWine's office. I have developed extensive clinical knowledge through externships and observeships in outpatient and inpatient settings in the US, which helped me acquire good interpersonal skills. My interests lies in behavioral healthcare. With an increasing number of individuals experiencing behavioral health problems, I believe that family physicians play an essential role in treating patients' behavioral health. As a result, I intend to pursue a fellowship in behavioral health. I absolutely love coffee! My hobbies include swimming, playing squash, spending time with my family, cooking and more than anything eating good food. :)
