Life in Lewisburg: Small town with great local theater. I love that it is a LGBTQ safe and supportive community.
Strengths of CAMC/GVMC: ONMM department is inclusive of all treatment modalities, osteopathic history, anatomy/physiology and maintaining an environment of healing and mental wellness.
Why ONMM: A balance lifestyle has always been important to me. With osteopathic manipulation, I get to appreciate and interact with the connectedness of the human body on a whole new level. I feel like an integral role of my patient's care and benefiting the surrounding community with the freedom to practice how I want to as my capabilities evolve. There is time to be present with my family and to pursue my own personal interests as well as take care of myself as a human being.

Hobbies/Interests: Music shows, hiking, meditation, traveling, mind-body-spirit medicine
Future Goals: Integrative medicine, community engagement, osteopathic education, Jedi mastery
Life in Lewisburg: Exploring nature, supportive local community, small town
Strengths of CAMC/GVMC: Work/life balance, camaraderie, in-depth anatomy, amazing faculty
Why ONMM: I chose to specialize in neuromuscular medicine because I want to be able to address the root cause of any imbalance in my patients' health. By using my hands, I identify anatomical restrictions that are contributing to any physiological dysfunctions that are contributing to their disease. I get to empower their body's own innate self-healing mechanism to bring their body back towards health.

Future Goals: ONMM Clinic/Hospital/Education
Life of Lewisburg: Small town with a homey feel, lots of local food, very nice people
Strengths of CAMC/GVMC: One of the biggest strengths is how supportive the program is in your growth. There are a lot of different ways to practice medicine and they support you following your won goals while ensuring that you are competent in everything. There are a lot of teaching opportunities in this program. It also feels like a family and everyone supports each other.
Why ONMM: Why not ONMM? It is by far the coolest and most interesting specialty out there. There is great work-life balance. You can tailor the program to fit your specific interests. There is a large need for more ONMM providers. People often come in feeling bad and leave feeling a lot better, and that's why I got into medicine in the first place.
