Overview of the Internal Medicine Interest Group

The Charleston Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) is focused on connecting third and fourth year medical students interested in internal medicine with resources that will kindle their passions and curiosities in the field of internal medicine. In addition to connecting students with resources, this group facilitates events that connect students with IM residents and faculty, expands knowledge of internal medicine topics and subjects and develops vital clinical skills.

Mission Statement

The Internal Medicine Interest Group in Charleston was formed to connect interested students with residents and faculty to help foster a growing curiosity of the internal medicine field and its subspecialties. Furthermore, the goal of this interest group is to provide students from local medical schools with unique opportunities, including small group conversations with faculty and residents, hands-on experiences at the simulation center and more.
